Abstract:

This research examines Macys v. Century Golf Partners GP LLC (2025), a federal court case involving disability discrimination and workplace retaliation. The case focuses on whether an employee with a disability experienced unfair treatment after requesting reasonable accommodations and engaging in protected workplace activity. The court analyzed whether the employee met the legal requirements to prove disability discrimination, including whether he was qualified for his position and whether the employer failed to provide reasonable accommodations. The court also reviewed the retaliation claim by the examining whether there was a connection between the employee's protected actions and the alleged adverse employment decision. The case addressed procedural issues such as service of process and default judgment. Overall, this decision highlights employer responsibilities under federal disability law and explains the legal standards courts use when reviewing employment discrimination claims.
