Abstract:

PurposeLiquid Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) is a versatile analytical chemistry instrument used in various industries. The instrument separates and identifies the molecular components in samples. The analysis of Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) is important for medical administration and contamination in various sources. NSAIDs are well used for treating common symptoms and are widely present in healthcare.MethodsThe review involves the usage of LC-MS and the manipulation of instrument components and samples to detect and quantify NSAIDs. Samples include the biological fluids of patients and various water sources. Qualitative and quantitative LC-MS methodology will focus on key NSAID and various conditions in their samples.ConclusionThe findings will focus on the capacity of measuring NSAIDs in samples with the LC-MS. The results will be important in their application for the medical field.Significance/NoveltyUnderstanding the condition of drugs in various biological samples will heighten monitoring and administration of NSAIDs. Additionally, the various methods will apply to analyzing their presence in water and food sources. It is important for the environment and human health to understand the consumption of meat or water contaminated with NSAIDS.
