Abstract:
This research project is focused on demonstrating a profit analysis by comparing the financial performances of the two major banks, JP Morgan Chase & Co., and Capital One over the course of five years. Through examining financial metrics like net income, return on equity, and profitability ratios, it will provide a better understanding of the success of each bank in reference to profitability. Understanding the profitability of these institutions is important because it demonstrates the financial health and efficiency of both banks. It also offers valuable information into consumer preferences and behaviors as it relates to these institutions. By interpreting trends in profitability, the research will highlight how consumer behavior is led to gravitate toward more financially successful banks, resultantly influencing their decisions on where to deposit funds, apply for loans, or open credit card accounts. Overall, the findings will shed more light on the competitive landscape within the banking sector.
