Abstract:

Our mission at Nourishing Our Neighbors is to fight food insecurity withinurban communities by providing farming resources, education, and support to those in ourneighborhood who are in need. We believe that everyone in our community should have accessto a healthy lifestyle for themselves and their families. With community involvement, we willbridge the gap between the lack of nutritious food access and public wellness by creating acollaborative network among neighbors. Together at Nourishing Our Neighbors, we will lead the movement to create astronger, healthier community where no one has to go hungry and ensure that everyone in ourcommunity is cared for. By addressing the issue at its source with food consumption we hope toeradicate the lack of access to healthy food for future generations. By utilizing this non profit wehope we gather volunteers, donations, and outreach opportunities to ensure a collaborativenetwork based on compassion and connection with one’s neighbors.
