Abstract:

This research study explored teachers’ perceptions of educational online games as a tool for reinforcing math concepts, with a focus on addition, in a kindergarten through second-grade environment. It investigated how teachers viewed online learning games in terms of effectiveness, engagement, and overall educational value in supporting students’ mathematical learning. Elementary educators provided feedback based on their experiences with online learning games. Educators responded about the perceived benefits and challenges of using online games as a teaching strategy, and the impact on student motivation and participation. The findings shed light on how educational online games can be utilized during classroom instruction to assist students struggling with mathematics. The study concluded with various recommendations for best practices in selecting and implementing online games to enhance student understanding and engagement of math skills and lessons.
