ESG or Environmental, Social and Governance is a framework that helps stakeholders understand how an organization is managing risks and opportunities. These criteria focus on improving or taking initiative to aid in aiding in different aspects of the economy; environmental conservation through limiting green house emissions, proper waste disposal, and resource usage, social image through fair wage, benefits and work conditions, and how the company is run and seen through eyes of shareholders and managers. This presentation will be looking into 8 different companies; both ESG and non-ESG focused, in order to analyze the companies portfolios and to determine whether the policies generate a completive advantage and is more profitable than their counterpart. The research that will be done will be a compilation of data collections from the companies post and current state and determining whether the company is better off with ESG policies and using more recent data to determine whether the companies hold a profitable advantage.
