Abstract:

This research examines the way Monster Beverage Corporation continues to be a leader in the competitive energy drink market even during uncertain economic times. As a consumer staple company, Monster has been able to expand its business through its popular energy drinks and new product lines such as Reign and Java Monster. The overall objective of my research is to determine why the company continues to maintain such high sales and remains a leader in the market with its various customer segments.
In conducting my research, I analyzed the current financial trends beginning in early 2026 and specifically examined why prominent analysts such as Morgan Stanley and Argus chose to increase their price targets for the company. Using the Bloomberg Terminal, I was able to determine how the company’s international expansion and success with their zero-sugar beverages have contributed to their success. The results of my research indicate that due to the perception that energy drinks are an “affordable luxury,” the company continues to maintain strong sales even during uncertain economic times. Additionally, I determined that the company’s success in transitioning from a healthier, zero-sugar product line without sacrificing its original “edgy” brand image has.
