Abstract:

The rise of remote work has significantly increased over the years and has maintained its popularity amongst the incoming generation of workers. However, the rise of remote work has impacted many economic structures in cities around the world. This study will show the connection between how remote work affects economic structures around the world and its positive and negative relationship on its economic impact. To further examine this study the research will provide quantitative and qualitative data gathered from real life experiences. Researcher will also provide surveys to a controlled group to gather data. The goal of this research is to have a better understanding of how popular cities evolve and change to remote workers from other cities or countries. Ultimately this study result show that the rise of remote workers positively impact the economic structure of cities by stimulating the economy but negatively impact the locals and natives as a result from inflation and gentrification.
