Abstract:
This project aims to give insight into Sustainable Development Goal 13, called “Climate Action”, by highlighting the effects of climate action on society’s environment, ecosystem, biodiversity, and food supply. The project aims to employ an interdisciplinary approach to observe proportional correlations between climate change and environmental changes. The literature review will provide accurate sociological information, while analyzing human rights will connect these correlations. A highlighted analysis of this project is how mosquitoes, a common vector for diseases, can spread even more because warmer climates are conducive to the breeding of mosquitoes. Our environment, which is responding to climate change, has also impacted our food supply system, increased the likelihood of famine and reducing agricultural production. The argument of this project is to highlight how climate change affects more than our environment but also impacts our human rights by altering essential resources.
