Abstract:
My first artwork is about injustice against women. The first artwork is about an Indian female doctor who faced injustice in Indian society. She was sexually abused and murdered by a man which sparked the entire nation. Her parents wanted to take her dead body but the head of the medical college avoided doing so which made them outraged. The government didn't take any action regarding this and because of that, people and doctors became outraged and started revolting against this injustice. The artwork is made with black and grey stencils to show the injustice of female doctors. My other artwork is about a woman facing trauma in everyday life. She faced discrimination as a woman, mental health issues, and physical pain. She had several miscarriages which is why she sees herself as a failure in her role as a wife and woman. There were no opportunities given to her because of her gender. The jungle is a part of her representing freedom and the monkeys represent fertility because of their wild qualities.
