Abstract:

Patagonia are one of the biggest companies that advocate for sustainable change. They use recycled materials to produce their products, they donate 1% of their global sales to enviromental organizations, and promote repair services so customers do not waste older merchandise. Does Patagonia's promises truely help support a healthier enviroment? It is hard to say that Patagonia soley helps support a healthier enviorment, but they have proven to make a positive impact by encouraging change. This research is to investigate the positive and impactful change through the Patagonia 'Protect Lands and Waters' campaign. This research plan is to identify the problems or enviromental problems through social media and provide resourceful ways to make solve these issues. We are going to conduct target market analysis to investigate the main participants of the previous enviromental campaign. Patagonia was active in this campaign because they feel they realized that our enviroment is being negatively impacted by the people.
