Abstract:
Freelance vs. Full-Time: Who is Really Happier?By Alexia Lizarazu and Kirsten ClowardThe question of whether freelance workers are happier than full-time employees is becoming increasingly relevant in today's society. Full-time employment offers stability and a consistent income, creating a more secure environment. However, freelance work provides much more flexibility and excitement but may lack financial consistency. This study will explore the benefits and drawbacks of both work styles to determine which might lead you to a happier life.Factors like job satisfaction, work-life balance, financial stability, and personal freedom are the main points that will be discussed. Freelancers enjoy more control in being their own boss, the ability to choose projects they work on, and overall have more freedom in their work. But they may face stress due to income varying on their work and the instability in finding jobs. In contrast, full-time employees benefit from job security and a solid income they can count on. But they may experience boring repetition in work causing them to lose interest, as well as toxic work environments bosses.Through research, surveys, and interviews, we will analyze the two. After investigating these aspects, our study aims to provide insights into which type of work may better suit your preferences and contribute to your overall well-being. With all this information in mind, by the end of this presentation our goal is to have helped you form a better idea as to which work form you would rather commit yourself to.Key words: Freelance, Full-time work, ideal job, Well-being, Financial Stability, Freedom, Toxic Workplace.
