Abstract:

Meal Match is a modern and responsive web-based recipe application designed to simplify meal planning and preparation for users. The core concept revolves around allowing users to input the ingredients they already have at home, and in return, the app generates a curated list of meals they can cook using those ingredients. This eliminates the need to scroll through long blog posts or watch lengthy recipe videos users receive clean, concise recipe cards with ingredients, instructions, and preparation steps all in one place. The platform provides a secure sign-up and login system, giving users the ability to create profiles, save their favorite meals, rate recipes based on their experiences, and even bookmark meals to a calendar for future planning. For added convenience, users are also shown suggestions of popular online and local grocery stores in case they’re missing ingredients.Built using PHP for the backend, JavaScript for dynamic functionality, and Tailwind CSS for sleek, mobile-first design, MealMatch connects to TheMealDB API to retrieve real-time recipe data. The site is optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, ensuring that users can browse and cook from any screen size.Meal Match is not just a recipe finder it’s a personalized cooking assistant that empowers users to cook more efficiently, reduce food waste, and build better eating habits with ease.
