Abstract:

Coral bleaching is a problem that widely affects the ecosystem health of our oceans. The goal of this research project is to create a device that can be dispersed throughout coral beds, which will then report back to researchers in the form of shareable data on the health of the coral bed. The study aims to create new ways to share data amongst coral researchers and scientists. The device will focus on creating easier data collection that can be recorded and shared more efficiently, allowing researchers to collaborate in a centralized database and improve restoration methods.
