Abstract:

Young adults, particularly those aged 18 to 24, navigate a critical transition from adolescence to adulthood, often marked by life changes and mental health challenges. Studies show that 20% of adolescents experience mental health issues yearly, with 50% of these concerns developing by age 14. This age group faces a higher risk of mental health concerns than older adults, with 36.2% of young adults experiencing mental illness compared to 29.4% of those aged 26-49 and 22.3% of individuals over 50. However, only 49.1% of young adults receive treatment, a lower rate than olderage groups. This highlights the need for more accessible mental health care for young adults.Thera Link is a supportive online therapy service tailored to young adults, offering easy access to licensed therapists and providing resources like meditation guides, journaling tools, and affirmations. To further support mental well-being, Thera Link offers Thera Boxes, curated gift boxes filled with wellness items to enhance self-care practices. Thera Link also organizes in-person group therapy and outdoor events, creating a well-rounded approach to mental health support.
