Abstract:

Title: “Treatment of Women Based on Attire”Author: Olivia Perez, Department of Psychology, Kean UniversityClothing and appearance significantly impact the way people are approached, communicated, and interacted with. This study examines the impact of clothing choices on the treatment of women in American society. A survey was conducted to investigate how first impressions, societal expectations of attire, and the impact of clothing on personal and career opportunities influence the treatment of women, with a focus on the factors of gender expression, sexuality, and environment. The findings reveal that women’s clothing continues to play a central role in shaping their day-to-day social interactions, with perceptions of style heavily influencing how they are treated within their different environments in the United States of America.
