Abstract:

This presentation discusses the escalating conflict taking place in Sudan currently. The violent conflict can be dated back to 2023 and involves the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF). This struggle of power has led to millions being displaced, shortages of food, and over 150,000 deaths. By analyzing the factors that led to this occurring, this presentation's main goal is to raise awareness and explore why a lack of global knowledge on this crisis has led to it being overlooked despite the scale of it.
