At Kean University, many students have experienced confusion when trying to figure out who their assigned advisor is or how to contact them. Some departments use different systems for scheduling and different platforms for meetings, which can make the process frustrating and unclear. Because of this, students sometimes feel stressed during registration and unsure about where to get accurate advising information. The purpose of this research is to look at Kean students’ experiences with academic advising and see how communication can be improved across the university. This study will focus on whether more consistent and centralized advising information would make it easier for students to access help and feel more confident about their academic planning. We want to understand how students currently find their advisors, how satisfied they are with the advising process, and what changes they would like to see.To collect data, our group will use a survey and gather responses from undergraduate students at Kean University. The survey will ask about awareness of assigned advisors, ease of scheduling appointments, and overall satisfaction with advising communication. The results of this research may help provide suggestions for improving advising communication, which could lead to a better student experience and less confusion during registration. Keywords: Academic Advising, Student Experience, Communication, Kean University, Undergraduate StudentsPreferred Presentation Format: Pre-recorded 3-minute presentation
