Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to provide research into the obstacles and benefits of CBI for students with disabilities at the middle school grade. Teachers will complete a survey about their perceptions of CBI. Teachers’ perceptions will be analyzed to research the benefits of CBI on the individual, hurdles of getting started and strategies that will help the student to be successful after graduation.The significance of this study is to provide research into the obstacles and benefits of CBI for students with disabilities at the middle school grade levels. The transition from school to work can be very difficult for students with disabilities. The more exposure they have at school, the more successful they are after. CBI can increase career awareness and opportunities for students with disabilities. It can also develop job skills for these students.
