Abstract:

African American Women tirelessly fought for a right that was never historically guaranteed . Not only did they protest, and stand up against injustice; they've made the decision to make a change that not only evolved the course of history, but set up the foundation for generations to come. In this presentation the readers/audience will be informed and taken back in time to grasp the harsh realities of how black women were mistreated and denied their simplest rights of voting. In doing so, they'll understand the background of what caused the uproar of change. African American men fought generations earlier for this same right, and now it's women's turn to do the same. This research will not only educate you on how women came to gain their right to vote, but maybe open your mind to more intellectual conversations that'll motivate others
