Abstract:
This jewelry collection reimagines the way we view medication, drawing inspiration from the visual language used in pharmaceutical advertising. The first necklace, “Breakaway Chain", plays with pill shapes that can be physically separated, symbolizing the act of making complex things more digestible. The design features pill-like shapes that can be split in half, with each segment connected by a twisted link. This approach evokes the idea of taking medication in manageable portions, while also highlighting the importance of balance. The second necklace, "Capsule For Your Thoughts" takes the form of a hollow, capsule-shaped pendant that can hold a small, precious object inside—symbolizing a space to carry something intimate or significant close to one’s chest. The hollow interior could be filled with anything from a cherished token, to a symbolic pill, or even a secret message. This piece evokes a sense of protection, as if the wearer is carrying something vital for their well-being.Together, these necklaces explore the concept of medication not just as a practical necessity but as an emotional and intimate experience, giving new meaning to personal health and care.
