Abstract:

Maintaining physical fitness and overall wellness is a challenge for university students due to academic pressures and time constraints. This study presents the development of a university fitness mobile application designs to prompt student health by integrating personalized workout recommendations, workout and nutrition tracking, and workout information. The app provides customized fitness routines based on user preferences, workout recommendations, and real-time progress tracking. A prototype will be developed and evaluated through testing with 50 university students, assessing usability, engagement, and perceived impact of health behaviors. Preliminary results with indicate if the user found the app beneficial in managing their fitness goals, with increased motivation and adherence to workout plans. Future work includes expanding the app's functionality to incorporate mental wellness features and AI-based adaptive training programs.
