The clinic aims to bridge the healthcare gaps that exist within the community. There has not been any prior research on this clinic and its outcomes. This study aims to explore the perspectives and experiences of clients and caregivers at Kean’s pro bono occupational therapy clinic over the past 10 years. Methods:Using a phenomenological framework, we explore client and caregiver experiences, and integrate quantitative demographic data to contextualize these experiences and strengthen our analysis. We invited clients and caregivers who received services over the past decade to complete a 60-minute survey. They complete the survey via Qualtrics, which includes demographic questions and open-ended questions exploring their perspectives, experiences, satisfaction, financial impact, and goal achievement.Data Analysis:We conduct an inductive thematic analysis to identify patterns and themes for open-ended survey responses using an independently developed codebook, with clear operational definitions. We analyze demographic data in SPSS to compute descriptive statistics and identify patterns. Peer debriefings ensure the credibility and reliability of the findings. Conclusion:Data collection for this study is ongoing. Final conclusions and discussions of study limitations will be presented once data analysis is complete.Significance/Novelty:This research aims to deepen the understanding of client and caregiver experiences within a pro bono occupational therapy setting, while also identifying key barriers and facilitators that may inform future service improvements.
